After more than three decades developing businesses, operations and strategies for others, founder Henri Hemmerechts is bringing that accumulated experience into Ocean Roamers’ next phase.
Since 2003, Ocean Roamers has connected commercial development with practical delivery. Its professional foundation spans diving operations, international market development, remote coastal hospitality and marine stewardship, including the earlier industry assignments on which the business was built.
This experience connects the vision with the work required to deliver it: selecting viable concepts, organising teams and resources, establishing operations and creating experiences customers value.
The next chapter builds on existing brands, professional relationships, digital infrastructure and accumulated development work.
The Signature Project
One defining coastal vision
The ambition extends beyond an eco-lodge. It is an integrated coastal destination where hospitality, diving, water sports and Ocean Club experiences come together around a shared approach to quality, sustainability and community participation.
Sustainability will guide the development of energy, water, food production, sourcing and consumption. Community services, local opportunity and a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility are central to the concept.
The aim is a commercially viable destination that contributes to the place and people around it, drawing together the lessons of a career in marine tourism.
Development would proceed in phases. Our goal is to achieve the full sustainability model within three to five years after securing a suitable site, with early operations supporting the progressive development of infrastructure and capabilities.

Venezuela & beyond
We are developing local operations in Venezuela in cooperation with a local partner, connecting international experience with local knowledge and operating support.
The objective is to bring international commercial reach and local delivery together through clearly defined responsibilities, documented agreements and transparent accounting.
Venezuela is an initial development focus within a wider international outlook. Opportunities in other destinations can be considered where they fit our capabilities and commercial objectives.
A Staged Development Approach
Progress that builds value
We are developing a staged investment approach, with each phase intended to demonstrate progress and establish a stronger foundation for the next.
- Establish and activate. Build the required company and operating structure, strengthen commercial infrastructure, activate selected revenue-generating activities and undertake project scouting and due diligence.
- Validate and expand. Demonstrate demand, improve operating capacity and develop activities that can generate repeatable revenue.
- Develop and scale. Advance the flagship coastal project when its location, feasibility and financing are established, with the potential to apply validated concepts elsewhere.
Consulting, management, hospitality services and partner-delivered experiences provide routes to commercial activity during establishment. Longer-term projects can build on the revenue, relationships and operating knowledge developed along the way.
For prospective investors, the opportunity is to participate in the business at an early stage. The potential for returns rests on sustainable earnings and growth in company value, supported by disciplined execution.

Responsible growth
Marine sustainability has long been part of Ocean Roamers’ professional work and corporate responsibility.
A stronger commercial business can increase our capacity to contribute expertise, time and operational resources to marine stewardship and nonprofit initiatives.
IADP remains an independent nonprofit organisation. Investment in Ocean Roamers supports its commercial development. Cooperation with IADP, GoBlu3 and other initiatives follows separately defined roles and agreements.
