Garmin Descent Mk1 Dive Computer: Breaking Down the Coolest Features on Garmin's New Watch-Style Computer

Garmin is now in the dive computer game with its recent release of the Descent Mk1 Dive Computer. This sleek, watch-style dive computer is loaded with features, including a 1.2-inch color display, surface GPS navigation with rich color mapping, multiple dive modes, 3-axis compass, heart rate monitoring and dive-log uploading. We talked to the experts on Garmin to get a first look at the new Descent Mk1 Dive Computer. Check it out below.

The computer comes in two styles: stainless-steel with a silicone watch band ($999.99) or premium version with a titanium band ($1,499.99).

This computer also features an Apnea mode for freedivers and an Apnea Hunt mode for spearfishers, which silences audible alarms while in effect.

It also uses the Bühlmann ZHL-16c algorithm with three pre-set conservatism setting.
